Recorder Group

The recorder ensemble is a dedicated group of students who rehearse weekly under the tutelage of a Umina Beach Public School staff member. They learn songs for performances, including at the Sydney Opera House. The songs can be quite challenging and these students are required to learn them off by heart which is an impressive achievement. The recorder is a great instrument as it is inexpensive, portable and the fingering is very similar to other instruments such as flute, clarinet and saxophone. So play the recorder and go places!
