At UBPS, we celebrate students who demonstrate our school values every day — from individual acknowledgements and class rewards to whole-school celebrations that recognise consistent positive choices and teamwork.

Social skill development and opportunities for play

UBPS celebrates the way students build friendships, teamwork and empathy through structured social learning, playground initiatives and cooperative activities.

Through guided play, peer mentoring and shared experiences, students learn to communicate, solve problems and include others — creating a school culture where kindness, connection and fun thrive every day.

Versatile learning styles and spaces

Students are recognised and celebrated for making the most of flexible learning spaces — collaborating, creating and showing independence in environments that support different ways of thinking and learning.
We value every learner’s style and encourage students to choose spaces and strategies that help them engage, focus and thrive.

Sport and fitness

We cheer for both personal bests and team achievements, celebrating effort, sportsmanship and success at school carnivals, representative events and weekly fitness challenges.
Our sport and fitness culture builds resilience, confidence and a lifelong love of being active together. Our confident, capable students excel in all areas of sports and fitness and our school is often represented by our athletes at the highest levels of competition.

Culture and community

UBPS celebrates its strong community spirit through cultural events, family partnerships and service initiatives that connect us, honour our heritage and strengthen our sense of belonging.
We proudly acknowledge the Darkinjung people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn, and celebrate the knowledge, culture and leadership of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, who make up 10% of our school community and enrich our school through their voices, perspectives and connection to Country.

Creative and Performing Arts

We proudly showcase individual and group talent through performances, exhibitions and showcases that highlight creativity, confidence and the joy of artistic expression.
From our school band to dance, drama, music and visual arts, we view every opportunity to create, perform or present as a chance for students to shine, inspire others and celebrate imagination in all its forms. Our students are rgularly showcased at Central Coast Dance Festival, the Central Coast Showcase and the Festival of Instrumental Music at the Sydney Opera House.

School camps and excursions

We celebrate growth in confidence, independence and teamwork through shared camp experiences that build resilience, leadership and lifelong memories. From exploration of our local area, to day-trips to Sydney, overnight camps and excursions to Canberra, we provide memorable opportuities for students to grow, learn and explore the world around us.
During our camps and excursions, we celebrate students as they strengthen friendships, step outside their comfort zones and discover new personal strengths.

Hands-on learning, curiosity and discovery

We celebrate curiosity by showcasing hands-on projects, inquiry displays and STEM challenges that highlight how students explore, experiment and discover through active learning.
By nurturing curiosity and problem-solving, we empower students to take ownership of their learning and see mistakes as opportunities to grow.
